The Municipality of Kincardine and the Kincardine & District Chamber of Commerce welcomed a delegation from Kenya on June 5, 2026, to share insights on hosting one of the world's largest operating nuclear generating facilities. The visit focused on the community, economic, and workforce benefits of the nuclear industry and Kincardine's experience as a nuclear host community.
The Municipality of Kincardine has appointed Jason Munro as Councillor At-Large following a Special Council Meeting on June 3, 2026. The appointment fills the vacancy created when Mike Hinchberger was appointed Deputy Mayor. Following a public application and appointment process, Jason Munro was sworn into office and will serve the remainder of the current Council term.
The Municipality of Kincardine is announcing the upcoming official launch of the Smart Beach Light at Station Beach on June 12, 2026. Following a testing and calibration period, the real-time beach safety signal will become fully operational and provide colour-coded swimming condition updates throughout the summer. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Station Beach to mark the launch.

The Municipality of Kincardine is providing information on current rules for e-scooter use. E-scooters are not permitted on municipal roads or on sidewalks, trails, parks, and other public spaces. Municipality of Kincardine and Bruce Power have signed a four-year agreement that provides $2.2 million to support infrastructure and community readiness planning related to the proposed Bruce C Project. The funding will help assess municipal infrastructure, service delivery, and long-term growth planning to prepare for potential future development.
