Lagoon Sludge Project Updates

The 21-day lagoon aeration trial is complete. DO levels improved from approximately 0.20 mg/L to generally 0.50–0.60 mg/L, while laboratory results provided new information about treatment performance and BOD loading. After 17 days of operation, dissolved oxygen levels have increased to approximately 0.60 mg/L, while recent lab results show BOD levels at the splitter box have decreased from 480 mg/L at start-up to 103 mg/L.
