Municipal Matters

Stay Connected. Stay Informed.

Municipal Matters is a series of informal, drop-in sessions hosted by the Municipality of Kincardine. These sessions create opportunities for residents, businesses, and visitors to connect directly with Council and staff to learn about municipal initiatives, ask questions, and share what matters most to them.

Whether you're curious about a current project, looking for updates on Council decisions, or want to have your voice heard, Municipal Matters offers a welcoming space for open conversation.

This initiative supports the Municipality’s commitment to transparent communication, strong customer service, and meaningful public engagement. It also complements other ways to stay informed and involved—residents are encouraged to explore the Municipality’s Connect with Us page to subscribe to news updates, sign up for newsletters, and follow along on social media.

What to Expect

At each session, you can:

  • Hear updates on municipal projects, services, and priorities
  • Speak directly with the Mayor, Council, and staff
  • Ask questions and share your feedback
  • Learn about upcoming initiatives and opportunities to get involved

Sessions are designed to be flexible—drop in for a few minutes or stay for the full discussion.

These conversations are also a great way to build awareness about how local government works and how to participate in decision-making.

Why Municipal Matters?

Municipal Matters launched in late 2025 with sessions in Tiverton and Kincardine, focused on Blue Box recycling program changes. These early meetings brought residents together with staff and Council to learn, ask questions, and discuss important community topics.

As the program continues, future sessions will be shaped by community input—ensuring conversations reflect the priorities of those who live, work, and visit here. Whether through attending a session, subscribing to updates, or participating in local elections, there are many ways to stay connected and involved in your community. What matters to you, matters to us.
