KINCARDINE, ON – September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, selected to coincide with Orange Shirt Day. An Indigenous-led grassroots commemoration, Orange Shirt Day honours the children who survived Indian Residential Schools and remembers those who did not.
KINCARDINE, ON – A year has nearly passed since the election of the current Municipality of Kincardine Council. As one of their priorities, they’re making changes to improve the transparency, relevance, efficiency, and ease of understanding when it comes to their meeting process.
Culvert replacement work has finished ahead of schedule and Southline is now open to all vehicles as of 4 p.m. on September 7th, 2023.
KINCARDINE, ON – The Municipality of Kincardine has retained the consulting firm of McQueen Galloway Associates (MGA) to lead the creation of a new, long-range Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
The intersection of Durham Street and Queen Street will be closed this week, September 4th to the 8th, as work is continued for the Downtown Dig Kincardine.
Concession Road 10 from Sideroad 20 to Sideroad 30 will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5th, for municipal drain construction. This work will take the remainder of the week with anticipated completion by end of day Friday, September 8th.
KINCARDINE, ON – The cooler weather last weekend was perfect for firefighters participating in the 2023 FireFit Championships in Saugeen Shores. The Lake Huron Regional Event took place on August 26th and 27th and features a series of competitions based on fire fighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations.
From Tuesday, September 5th, beginning at 7 a.m., through to Friday, September 8th at 6 p.m., Southline will be closed from Sideroad 5S to Sideroad 10 as culvert replacement takes place.
There are road closures scheduled for Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 for Piping in the Park.
