The Municipality of Kincardine and Bruce County hosted the summer meeting of the Canadian Association of Nuclear Host communities (CANHC) on September 6th, 2024.

Following community engagement and careful consideration, the Municipality of Kincardine Council has made the decision to decommission the Secord Monument.

The return of Welcoming Week to Grey and Bruce is set for September 13th to the 22nd with an open house at the Welcome Centre in Kincardine on September 17th.

The Municipality owns and manages the Lake Huron shoreline within the Municipality of Kincardine which is currently being severely impacted by the invasive species Common Reed (Phragmites australis).

The By-Law to Regulate Native Trees on Private Property comes into effect on September 1, 2024 and is only related to the removal or injuring of native trees.

The preventative maintenance on the Tiverton Water Tower is now complete and the water restrictions are lifted.

It’s the Labour Day long weekend – the last hurrah for the summer of 2024! This holiday does affect some Municipal services.
