Grey Bruce Public Health conducts beach water testing and determines when swimming advisories are issued and lifted.

The Municipality of Kincardine is advising residents and visitors that Grey Bruce Public Health has issued a Swimming Advisory for Station Beach after routine water quality testing found bacterial levels above acceptable thresholds.

Water samples collected and analyzed by GBPH showed bacterial (E. coli) levels exceeding Ontario Ministry of Health standards for recreational water. As a result, Grey Bruce Public Health has determined that Station Beach is currently unsafe for swimming.

Advisory signage has been posted at the beach, and residents and visitors are asked to avoid swimming until follow-up water testing confirms the water is safe.

Grey Bruce Public Health will continue to monitor water quality. The Municipality of Kincardine will share an update as soon as new test results are available.
