Road Closure - Queen Street - April 15th to the 26th, 2024

On Monday, April 15^th, 2024, construction will begin on Queen Street around Mount Forest Avenue and run to April 26^th, 2024. This is for the installation of new sanitary sewers. Here’s some need-to-know facts about this work:

From April 15^th to the 19^th, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. approximately:

• Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a flag person during construction hours.
• Emergency vehicles will be given priority access.

From April 22^nd to the 26^th:

• Queen Street will be CLOSED with NO ACCESS all day long.
• To access the Kincardine Hospital (South Bruce Grey Health Centre) during this time, there will be a marked detour via Concession 5, Broadway Street, and Highway 21.
• Access to the Kincardine Hospital and Mount Forest Avenue will be via temporary access lanes on the north and south sides of Mount Forest Avenue.

Bus lines and emergency services have been contacted about this construction work. Families whose bus routes will be impacted by this work will be notified by their bus company about any schedule changes.
