Media Release: May 4, 2026

Kincardine Multicultural Celebration is back for its 21st year on May 12, 2026!

KINCARDINE, ON – This year marks a remarkable milestone as the Kincardine Multicultural Celebration proudly celebrates 21 years of embracing diversity, strengthening inclusion, and fostering meaningful community connection. The celebration will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Davidson Centre from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free, and everyone is warmly welcome to attend this vibrant community event.

The evening will feature a vibrant mix of food, music, art, and cultural displays, offering attendees an opportunity to experience traditions from around the world while connecting with neighbours. More than a celebration, the event creates space for conversation, learning, and shared understanding—highlighting the importance of inclusion and the value of diverse perspectives within the Municipality of Kincardine.

Since its founding by Dr. Chandra Tripathi, the Multicultural Celebration has grown from a small gathering at Huron Heights Public School into a signature community event. Over the past two decades, it has continued to evolve alongside the community, reflecting a shared commitment to respect, belonging, and cultural appreciation.

Organized by the Kincardine Multicultural Celebration Committee (KMCC), the event is supported by Bruce Power, Swajan Samanvay Santan Centre, the Municipality of Kincardine, and the Kincardine District Senior School.

Dr. Chandra Tripathi, founder of the celebration, shares: “For over two decades, this event has brought people together through the richness of their cultures. It is a reminder that when we take the time to learn from one another, we build stronger, more connected communities. I invite everyone to take part—whether by sharing their culture or simply by coming out to experience and celebrate it.”

As we celebrate 21 years, we renew our commitment to building a community where every voice is valued and every culture is respected — a true beacon of inclusivity that continues to lead by example.
