The Municipality Celebrates a Significant Achievement for Deputy Mayor Clarke
KINCARDINE, ON - The Municipality of Kincardine is proud to announce and support a significant and well-deserved opportunity in the judicial career of Deputy Mayor Andrea Clarke.
Deputy Mayor Clarke has served the community with dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to public service. Throughout her time on Council, she has been a strong and consistent advocate for equity and accessibility, working to ensure that municipal programs, services, and decisions reflect the diverse needs of all residents.
It is with regret we accept her resignation as deputy mayor as she is compelled by legislation to resign from her municipal responsibilities.
“Deputy Mayor Clarke has made a lasting impact on our community,” said Mayor Craig. “Her leadership, compassion, and unwavering focus on inclusion have helped shape a more equitable and accessible municipality. While we will miss her thoughtful voice at the Council table, we know she will continue to serve the public with the same excellence in her new role.”
During her tenure, Deputy Mayor Clarke played a key role in advancing initiatives that strengthened community engagement, improved accessibility, and supported a more inclusive environment for residents and visitors alike. Her collaborative approach and commitment to fairness have left a meaningful legacy.
Deputy Mayor Clarke expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve the community: “It has been an honour to represent the residents of the Municipality of Kincardine. I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me and proud of the progress we have made together. I look forward to continuing to serve the public in this new capacity.”
Community members are invited to join Council and staff for a drop-in celebration in honour of Deputy Mayor Clarke on Friday April 17th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Davidson Centre in the Bruce Telecom Room. Residents are welcome to stop by, share their well wishes, and recognize her contributions to the municipality and community.
The Municipality extends its sincere thanks to Deputy Mayor Clarke for her years of service and wishes her every success in her new role.
Further information regarding Council representation and her replacement will be shared in the coming weeks.
