Grey Bruce Public Health conducts beach water testing and determines when swimming advisories are issued and lifted.
The Municipality of Kincardine is pleased to advise that Grey Bruce Public Health has lifted the Swimming Advisory for Station Beach following water quality testing that confirmed bacterial levels have returned to within Ontario Ministry of Health standards.
Swimming is once again considered safe at Station Beach, and advisory signage has been removed.
The Municipality thanks residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation while the advisory was in place.
Grey Bruce Public Health will continue to monitor water quality at public beaches throughout the summer. However, water quality can change from day to day or even hour to hour depending on the weather and other conditions. High bacteria levels usually occur due to weather-related events.
The health unit encourages beach goers to make an informed decision about beach water quality in real time before you go swimming.
The Municipality thanks residents and visitors for their cooperation and understanding as we work together to protect public health and safety.
