Road Closure Update - Kincardine Avenue - May 28, 2025

We’d like to provide an update about the closures for Kincardine Avenue. Here are a few more details about this project:

➡️ This is a Ministry of Transportation (MTO) project on Highway 21 affecting Kincardine Avenue, which is a municipal roadway.

➡️ Kincardine Avenue is closed to both the east and west of Highway 21 as installations under these roads will support the project.

➡️ Highway 21 will remain open during the project, but there will be lane reductions and delays. If you can plan and choose an alternate route, please do so.

➡️ Detour signs are in place to help guide you to Kincardine Avenue.
🔸 Use the Bruce Avenue detour to connect with Kincardine Avenue to the west of Highway 21
🔸 Use the Highway 9 detour to connect with Kincardine Avenue to the east of Highway 21

➡️ All businesses remain open during construction – they appreciate your continued support!

➡️ Yes, 3 months is a long time, however there are multiple parts to this project beyond the lights. The road is widening for traffic volumes and adequate turning lanes are improvements that will allow for better flow.
