Municipality of Kincardine invites you to “Municipal Matters”

KINCARDINE, ON - The Municipality of Kincardine is excited to invite the community to a meeting called Municipal Matters, which is designed to provide residents and local businesses with direct access to Mayor Kenneth Craig and municipal staff to discuss issues that matter most to the community.

The first Municipal Matters meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre in Tiverton, from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. This inaugural session will focus on upcoming changes to the Blue Box recycling program, featuring a presentation by Mark O’Leary, Manager of Environmental Services.

Mayor Craig will also be in attendance to provide updates, answer questions, and hear directly from attendees. A festive hot chocolate bar and treats will be available for guests as part of this interactive community conversation.

“This new initiative is about creating more opportunities for our community to connect directly with municipal leadership,” said Mayor Kenneth Craig. “Municipal Matters is designed to give residents and local businesses a voice, so we can share timely information, answer questions, and hear firsthand what matters most to the people we serve.”

Looking ahead, the Municipality will host Municipal Matters meetings and will engage residents early in the new year to collect questions and topics they would like the Mayor and staff to address. The goal is to ensure future sessions reflect the interests and priorities of the community while maintaining a transparent and direct line of communication with municipal leadership.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to watch for announcements of upcoming sessions and to participate in sharing their questions and ideas in the new year. Municipal Matters aligns with the Municipality’s commitment to keeping the community informed and connected: “What matters to you, matters to us.”
