Municipality of Kincardine Launches 2026 Community Improvement Plan Programs

KINCARDINE, ON - The Municipality of Kincardine is pleased to announce the launch of its 2026 Community Improvement Plan (CIP) programs beginning March 3, 2026. These incentive programs are designed to support investment, revitalization, and long-term economic growth across the Municipality of Kincardine.

For 2026, Council has allocated $100,000 toward the Community Improvement Plan to support successful projects that strengthen the Municipality of Kincardine. These funds will be directed to eligible initiatives that enhance our built environment, improve accessibility, support new and expanding businesses, and advance housing, commercial and industrial development opportunities.

The 2026 CIP suite for the Municipality of Kincardine includes key targeted programs:

    1. Start-up Space Leasehold Improvement Program
    2. Predevelopment Study and Design Program
    3. Building Improvement and Structural Program
    4. Surplus Land CIP Program (coming soon)

In addition to these CIP programs, the Municipality of Kincardine has also allocated $20,000 toward the County-supported Spruce the Bruce Community Improvement Plan program for 2026. This partnership provides local businesses and property owners with an additional funding stream focused on downtown revitalization and façade improvements. Together, these programs offer funding avenues of support for Municipality of Kincardine businesses in 2026.

“Strategic incentives like our Community Improvement Plan programs help reduce barriers and unlock private investment,” said Mayor Kenneth Craig. “By supporting start-ups, building improvements, and new housing opportunities, we are creating the conditions for strong, continued growth across the Municipality of Kincardine.”
