Kincardine’s 2026 Spring Tree Sale Opens March 9

The Municipality of Kincardine is once again offering residents the opportunity to plant native trees through the annual Spring Tree Sale. Sales open online at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, and will run until May 1, 2026, or while quantities last.

All trees are $25 plus HST and available exclusively to residents of the Municipality of Kincardine, with a limit of five trees per property. Orders must be placed online through an ActiveNet account, and full payment is required at the time of purchase. This year’s sale features a variety of native Ontario tree species:

• Basswood
• Bitternut Hickory
• Bur Oak
• Kentucky Coffee
• Native Red Maple
• Red Cedar
• Sycamore
• Sugar Maple
• Tamarack
• Tulip Tree
• White Birch
• White Cedar
• White Spruce

The trees available this year will be smaller at pickup, with conifers starting at approximately 60 cm or larger with burlap-wrapped root balls, and deciduous trees 80 cm or larger in 2-gallon pots.

Tree Pick-up

Residents who purchase trees will need to pick up their orders on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kincardine Public Works Yard (140 Valentine Avenue, Kincardine). Trees must be picked up during this time and will not be held. Buyers should bring their receipt and a truck or trailer capable of transporting large trees.

Planting instructions will be emailed after purchase to help residents successfully plant and care for their new trees.

The Spring Tree Sale supports the Municipality’s efforts to increase tree canopy and encourage residents to plant native species that benefit local ecosystems.
