Highlights from the meeting include:

2025 Asset Management Plan Addendum Report

The Municipality engaged Dillon Consulting to update its 2022 Asset Management Plan (AMP) with a new Natural Assets chapter and revised 2025 replacement costs for all asset inventory. Council received the Addendum for information. A comprehensive review and update of the AMP is planned for 2027.

2026 Consolidated Rates & Fees Report

Council approved the 2026 Consolidated Rates and Fees, effective January 1, 2026. The Rates and Fees that are charged by the Municipality for various services, are reviewed each year to assess the financial appropriateness of the amounts being charged. The proposed Rates and Fees are brought forward prior to the budget process for approval as the new rates are used to estimate the revenue streams for the upcoming budget year. An economic increase of 1.7% has been applied to most of the rates and fees, with minor rounding adjustments.

Appointment of New Director of Community Services, Luke Bedard

Due to the recent retirement of the current Director, Jayne Jagelewski, Luke Bedard was appointed Director of Community Services, effective September 15th, 2026.

The next Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025. This meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre, 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine.
