Council Highlights - May 14th, 2025

The Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting was held in Council Chambers at 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine at 5:00 p.m.

Highlights from the meeting include:

Amending Bradstones Development Agreement Report

Bradstones Development Inc. entered into Agreements in 2023 to permit the development of 36 units, comprised of 10 (ten) multi-unit townhouse blocks located at 8 Golf Links Road. In the original proposal, the watermain looped through the development at 8 Golf Links and connected to Gringas Street, which required a servicing easement. It has been determined that it is no longer required and the watermain will remain the responsibility of the private landowner. Council passed a By-law to enter into an Amending Agreement with Bradstones Development Inc.

Procurement Policy Report

Council passed a By-law to authorize a new updated Procurement Policy, to align procurement thresholds with the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) threshold for Goods and Services, and to repeal the previous policy.

Organics Motion

Council passed a resolution to endorse a leadership role undertaken by the County of Bruce to determine the feasibility of a local source separated organics program and requested the Mayor consider funding in the 2026 budget to support the advancement of this initiative within the Municipality of Kincardine, if required.

The next Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday May 28th, 2025. This meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre, 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine.
