Council Highlights - March 25, 2026

The Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting was held in Council Chambers at 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine at 5:00 p.m.

Highlights from the meeting include:

Aerial Fire Truck Borrowing Report

Council approved a Debenture By-law from the Ontario Infrastructure and Lands Corporation, for the financing of the purchase of an Aerial Fire Truck. A debenture will be required in the amount of $1,320,000 with a repayment term of 10 years.

Environmental Services Compliance Report

Council endorsed the Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS) Management Review and Action Plan 2026. The Report also informed Council of any compliance related issues and general information from the Environmental Services Department for the period of January 29, 2026, to March 10, 2026.

Housing Ad Hoc Committee Terms of Reference Report

Council approved the Terms of Reference for a new Housing Ad Hoc Committee. The Terms of Reference outlines the roles and responsibilities of the Housing Ad Hoc Committee to identify practical and strategic actions that the Municipality could undertake to support housing development and diversity. Further, the Committee would provide input and guidance in the preparation of Housing Action Plan 2.0.and focus on identifying practical and strategic actions the Municipality can undertake to support housing development and housing diversity in the community.

The next Municipality of Kincardine Council Meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. This meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Centre, 1475 Concession 5, RR #5 Kincardine.
