Multicultural Celebration
“For 20 years, this celebration has been a beacon of unity — bringing people together through the richness of their cultures. It’s more than an event; it’s a living example of how respect, understanding, and shared joy can strengthen our community. I warmly invite all cultural groups to join us — whether through food, music, art, or storytelling — to help spread the message of inclusivity and togetherness far and wide.”

Kincardine Multicultural Celebration: A Long-Standing Tradition of Cultural Connection
The Kincardine Multicultural Celebration is a long-standing community event that brings people together to celebrate the diversity of cultures that make our community vibrant and welcoming.
Founded by Dr. Chandra Tripathi, the celebration began in 2005 at Huron Heights Public School in Kincardine, where approximately 200 attendees gathered to experience and learn about different cultures. Since then, the event has grown into a beloved annual tradition that encourages connection, understanding, and appreciation of the many cultures represented in our community.
Each year, the event offers an opportunity for residents and visitors to explore different traditions through cultural displays, music, and the opportunity to sample a variety of international foods.
The celebration provides a welcoming space for people to learn about one another, share traditions, and build greater understanding across cultures. By learning about the histories, customs, and beliefs of others, we deepen our sense of community and recognize the shared values that connect us.
The Kincardine Multicultural Celebration is organized by the Kincardine Multicultural Celebration Committee (KMCC) with support from community partners including Bruce Power, Swajan Samanvay Santan Centre, the Municipality of Kincardine, and Kincardine District Senior School.
