COVID-19 Update:
PLEASE NOTE: The two temporary compost/yard waste disposal sites that were located in Kincardine (Connaught Park) and Tiverton (Sports Complex) to alleviate Waste Management Centre closure and temporary hours have both now CLOSED. The Waste Management Centre is now fully operational and accepting all forms of yard waste/compost/brush.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Effective April 1, 2020 there will be 4 Film Plastics Recycling bins housed at the Bruce Avenue Cardboard Depot. Please ensure social distancing when dropping off your recyclables. These bins will be marked with signage indicating acceptable and not acceptable items for disposal. The film plastics recycling bins will be monitored ongoing, with scheduled monthly pickups. Please note that due to the current closure of the Kincardine Waste Management Centre to the public, all 4 Film Plastic bins will be housed at the Bruce Avenue Depot. Once regular operations at the Kincardine Waste Management Centre commence, 2 bins will be transported to the landfill.

Green Cone Digesters are now available for purchase at the Kincardine Waste Management Centre. The Municipality of Kincardine in conjunction with the County of Bruce now has a limited quantity of green cones for purchase. The Green Cone Digester is a smart, easy-to-use, efficient household tool, which reduces waste and eliminates most of the problem of food disposal. It’s a clean, healthy way to minimize your family’s kitchen trash while helping the environment.

Curbside Blue Box Program |
Residents should have their recycling at the curbside by 8:00 am. Film Plastics Recycling Program |
Film Plastics Recycling Program The Municipality of Kincardine is pleased to announce that a Film Plastics Recycling Program has been implemented in Kincardine. There will be 2 (Yellow) Film Plastics collection bins at each of the 2 drop off locations which will be emptied regularly by Grey Bruce Trash Taxi. Film Plastics Recycling Locations: 1. Kincardine Waste Management Centre: 437 Sideroad 15, Armow - during regular operating hours 2. East Parking Lot-Kincardine Soccer Fields: 440 Bruce Avenue, Kincardine - 24 hours Please familiarize yourself with which film plastics are acceptable (and not acceptable) for collection in these film plastics collection bins. We endeavour to keep these collection bins free of contamination in order to keep this environmentally friendly program running permanently. |

EPS (Styrofoam) Recycling Service Pilot Project |
Effective December 1st, the Municipality of Kincardine has partnered with Second Wind Recycling, for the EPS recycling service pilot project. Second Wind Recycling provides the Municipality with a densifying and removal service of all post-consumer EPS packaging delivered to the recycling depot, and ensures it is recycled by a registered recycler.
