Notice of Planned Water Service Interruption – Tiverton

Night Excavation - Tuesday September 16th at 7:00 PM

The Municipality of Kincardine advises residents of a planned water service shutdown on Tuesday, September 16th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Water service will be interrupted for all properties south of the King Street and Cameron/Stanley intersection while municipal crews complete night excavation work on the Tiverton Drinking Water System. Work is expected to take up to eight hours, with water restored by early morning, at approximately 3:00 a.m.

Crews will be working at four key dig sites:

    • King Street & Church/Ross intersection

    • King Street closed at Main Street and Cameron/Stanley intersection (detour posted)

    • Valve replacements at Argyle & Main, and Memorial Drive & Webster

During this time, residents can expect heavy equipment, flashing lights, and noise. Crews will work to minimize disruptions wherever possible.

Once water is restored, residents may experience air in their lines or discoloured water. Please run cold taps until the water clears.

If poor weather prevents work, the shutdown will be rescheduled to Wednesday, September 17.

Restaurants and vulnerable groups will be notified directly by municipal staff through door-to-door visits. Updates will also be shared through social media, newspapers, radio, and the municipal website.

We thank residents for their patience as this essential work is completed.
