Conserve Water Notice - Kincardine Drinking Water System - November 25th to 29th, 2024

Residents and business owners on the Kincardine Drinking Water System are being asked to conserve water due to maintenance at the Water Treatment Plant.

This work will require the Municipality of Kincardine to receive water from the Township of Huron Kinloss from November 25th to the 29th, 2024, approximately,

The Municipality of Kincardine will be implementing Stage 2 Water Supply Emergency Restrictions of the Outdoor Water Use By-Law 2009-079 for the duration of the project. Please do not water lawns and gardens (including irrigating systems), wash vehicles and driveways, fill pools and hot tubs, or use decorative fountains (unless water used is continuously recycled). General outdoor water use is restricted until the notice has been lifted.

To conserve water indoors reduce the amount of laundry, cleaning and showering you do. Reprogram water softeners to recharge less during this time.

This work may slightly impact water pressure, but staff will make every effort to closely monitor the system. Please note that this will have no impact on drinking water treatment, and the water will continue to be safe to consume during the project.
