Arts and Culture is alive and well in our community.  We have live theatre all year,  a seasonal "freeplay" Outdoor Piano,  Mixed Media Artists and galleries, outdoor Murals and public art pieces, Museums and more. Join us for the 1st Annual Culture in the Park event, scheduled to take place on Saturday September 25, 2021, as part of Culture Days, a national initiative that shines a light on our local culture!

Culture in the Park will showcase our local Arts, Culture & Heritage stakeholders, organizations, events, businesses and individuals, and will include displays, performances and more!

Saturday, September 25, 10:00am-4:00pm:

  • Featuring live performances, artistic vendors and hand-made goods, information booths from local arts & culture groups, and tours of arts & culture spaces
  • Victoria Park and Kincardine Centre for the Arts
  • Rain or shine (cancellation in the event of severe weather conditions)

    10:30am - Asif Raza - Hindu Poetry
    11:15am - Quinn Smith & Lyon X - Musical Performance
    12:00pm - Kristi White, Author - Children's Book Reading
    1:00pm - Kondor - Musical Performance
    3:00pm - Arlene McFarlane, Author - Adult Novel Reading


Now accepting applications for vendors and performers:

  • Space is limited
  • Priority given to local/regional artistic vendors and performers
  • Priority given to local arts and culture groups, organizations, and associations
  • Vendors must supply all equipment and materials required for set-up (tables, chairs, tents, etc.)
  • Vendor fees generously sponsored by the Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee


Health & Safety Protocols:

  • Health and safety protocols are subject to change due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Vendors will be promptly notified of any necessary changes.
  • Vendors are required to pre-screen for COVID-19 symptoms, as per municipal policy
  • Vendors are required to use a face covering when dealing with customers, as mandated by Grey Bruce Public Health
  • Vendors are required to make hand sanitizer available for both themselves and customers
  • Vendors are encouraged to use face coverings at all times when seated at booths, utilise plexiglass or other appropriate barriers to limit exposure, and utilise a form of eye protection when dealing with customers within 2m

 Arts, Culture & Heritage Achievement Awards


You can apply to have Council recognize any person or group that achieves provincial, national or international honours in Arts, Culture and Heritage. There are three categories for these awards:


  • Arts, Culture & Heritage Achievement Award
  • Youth Award
  • Long Term Contribution Arts, Culture or Heritage (Scougall) Award
  • Long Term Contribution Multi-Culturalism/Diversity Award


The criteria are outlined in the Recognition – Arts, Culture & Heritage Achievements Policy.
