The Saugeen Blanket Workshop is a 90-minute interactive, participatory learning experience. It explores 525 years of Turtle Island history. Grounded in local knowledge and the treaty history of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, participants engage in a powerful journey of knowledge, understanding, reflection, and reconciliation.

About the Workshop Facilitator
This workshop will be led by Natalka Pucan , an Indigenous Education Consultant and educator with 18 years of experience supporting students, educators, and communities through culturally grounded learning. A proud member of Saugeen First Nation, Natalka is also a mother and grandmother whose work is deeply informed by her connections to family, community, culture, and the land.
An active participant in cultural practices, language revitalization, and lifelong learning, Natalka brings a strong cultural foundation and extensive knowledge of local Indigenous history to her work. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that honour Indigenous perspectives, strengthen relationships, and foster understanding.
Natalka believes through her leadership and educational practice, she supports opportunities for learners to engage with Indigenous knowledge in authentic, respectful, and impactful ways.
