Launched in 2020 to support our local businesses and provide a safe space for pedestrians and patrons of the downtown, the Promenade on Queen will return in 2021, commencing Friday June 25, 2021 continuing weekly through to September 5, 2021, 5:00pm every Friday evening, through to Sunday night at 9:00pm.

The Promenade on Queen restricts vehicle traffic on Queen Street in downtown Kincardine from Durham Market North to Lambton Street, and NEW this year, from Lambton Street north to Durham Street.  Lambton Street will remain accessible for vehicle traffic.

This will allow all of our downtown businesses, within the closure area, opportunity to display products outdoors, provide safely spaces 'queues/lines' when customer numbers on premise are restricted, as well as opportunity to promote physical distancing for those walking through the closure area on days that are typically busier during the summer months.

Building on the successes experienced in 2020, and alongside the Grey Bruce Health Unit to ensure compliance with current safety protocols and regulations, we look forward to enhancing the Promenade on Queen experience, including live music/entertainment, vendors - including a NEW youth vending opportunity, on-street patios and more!
