The Municipality of Kincardine will select committee members each new term of council or when a vacancy becomes available.

Current vacancies

An invitation is extended by Council to citizens of the Municipality of Kincardine interested in making a contribution to their community to apply to sit on the following committees:


  • Heritage Kincardine

    Heritage Kincardine is seeking volunteers!

    Heritage Kincardine Committee is a municipal heritage committee under the Ontario Heritage Act that provides advice to Council on the identification and preservation of built structures, historical artifacts, ruins and lands of cultural historical significance or historical value including heritage designations. 

    Primary Tasks:
    1) Advise Council on designation and alteration of heritage (designated and historic) properties
    2) Research and compile inventories of heritage resources
    3) Education and Promotion throughout the community 
    4) Advise/Inform Council with Regard to Municipally-owned Heritage Properties 
 How to apply

Interested citizens should meet the following criteria:

- Be a qualified elector of the Municipality of Kincardine
- Previous experience on a board or a committee is an advantage
- An interest in the committee area is an advantage
- Available to attend at least one meeting per month

 Selection process
All appointments are made by Council. After appointments are finalized by By-Law, the Municipal Clerk will notify all applicants, informing them of the Council’s decision.
 Term of appointment
Unless otherwise legislated, the term of appointment coincides with the existing term of Council who appointed them.
