The Public Works Department manages the road system by following the Minimum Maintenance Standards as established under the Highway Traffic Act.
Responsibilities include: bridges, grass cutting, shoulder maintenance, ditching, gravel resurfacing, dust control, catch basins & culverts, streetlights, sidewalks, regulatory, warning and street signage, traffic lights and pedestrian crosswalk, street sweeping, snow removal, hard top surface patching and tree planting and trimming.
The Department also manages our municipal water systems, wastewater facilities, as well as two solid waste landfill sites.

The municipality has two public municipal parking lots located in the Town of Kincardine at 270 Lambton St. and 758 Princes St.
Overnight parking on streets and in municipal lots is prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. during the winter months (November 1st to April 30th) for winter maintenance operations. For more information please see the Traffic and Parking By-Law.
