We offer a variety of ways to pay your bill. Payments must be received by the due date to avoid penalty.

Through your Bank

The Municipality accepts payments through most financial institutions. This includes online banking, telephone banking and payments made in-person at your branch.

Please set up the Municipality of Kincardine as a payee using your 7-digit customer number for utility/accounts receivable accounts, which can be found in the top right-hand corner of your bill, or your 19-digit roll number for taxes.

In-person Payments

Please allow enough time for delivery. Payments can be subject to late payment fees if they are not received by the due date.

Drop Box

Locations: Municipal Administration Office & Underwood Satellite Office. The drop box is in front of the main entrance for after hours payments.

Pre-Authorized Payment

We offer two types of pre-authorized payment plans:

  • Due Date – Payment is withdrawn on the due date
  • Monthly – Payment is withdrawn on the first business day of each month

You must have a $0 balance to sign up. Supplementary Tax Billings will be your responsibility, as they are not covered under these programs.

Please fill out the Online Preauthorized Payment Sign Up Form and submit your information instantly, or you can complete the pdf version of the Preauthorized Payment Plan Form and return it to the Municipal Administration Office by fax, email or in person.

If you'd like to make changes to your monthly preauthorized payment amount, update your bank account information, or need to cancel your plan, please fill out the online form.

Credit Card Payments

We accept credit card payments through third party service providers. We offer three options:

  • Paytm – Pay from any mobile device using the Paytm app. No convenience fees. Visit the Paytm website for more information on how to download the app. Bank account, debit or credit card payments are accepted. *Not available for US residents. Effective November 24th, 2019 there will be a convenience fee applied to all debit and credit card payments. Credit: 1.75% & Debit 1.25%
  • Plastiq – Visit the Plastiq website to pay with debit, Mastercard, Visa or American Express. Please note you will have to create an account and that payments may take 3-5 business days to process. A Plastiq convenience fee will be applied (2.5% for credit cards, 1% for debit cards).
  • Paymentus – Pay by Visa or Mastercard by telephone or online. Call 1-855-736-0636 or visit the Paymentus website to pay online. A convenience fee of $6.95 is applied to utility payments up to $400, and for tax payments the fee is 2.95% of the bill amount up to $5,000.
