Ontario Covid-19 public health measures and advice

Find out about the latest public health measures, advice and restrictions impacting businesses. 

 

Ontario COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grant (*Applications open mid-January 2022)

Grant of up to $10,000 for small businesses that are subject to closure under the modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen

Eligible businesses that previously qualified for the Ontario Small Business Support Grant will be pre-screened to verify eligibility and will not need to apply for the new program.

Newly established and newly eligible small businesses will need to apply once the application portal opens in the coming weeks.

Ontario Business Costs Rebate Program 

Rebate payments for a portion of the property tax and energy costs incurred while required to close or reduce indoor capacityto 50%, retroactive to December 19, 2021.

Program applications open January 18, 2022

Government of Canada Covid 19 Business Supports

Provides resources for businesses, their employees,  and self‑employed individuals and including financial support, loans and access to credit.

Ontario Tourism Recovery Program 

Supports eligible Ontario-based tourism businesses in the for-profit attractions and accommodations sectors that have been impacted by Covid-19. 

Applications window is now closed and funding notification are expected soon.

Tourism Industry Supports

Please visit the Tourism Industry of Ontario COVID-19 site and sign up for regular updates from the regional tourism organization representing Bruce, Grey and Simcoe Counties, RTO7. They are conducting regular surveys during the coronavirus outbreak to assist the industry in recovery. 

 

Agri-Food Sector Supports

The Ontario Federation of Agriculture has a COVID-19 portal with a wide range of supports for owners and managers of agricultural operations.

The Ontario government has launched a new portal aimed at connecting workers with positions in the province’s agri-food sector. The Agriculture and Food Jobs website includes job listings, support services and industry resources.
