2022 Bruce County Household Hazardous Waste Days

Now is a great time to remove hazardous materials and dispose of them in an environmentally safe manner. Household hazardous waste materials include but are not limited to the following items: Paints & Stains, Batteries, Household Cleaners, Pharmaceuticals, Propane Tanks, Antifreeze, Fluorescent Lights, Fire Extinguishers, Aerosols, Solvents, Fuel, Pool Chemicals, Used Oil, Oil Filters, Fertilizers, and Pesticides.  Residents of Bruce County are welcome to attend any of the Bruce County event locations.  

The Municipality of Kincardine will be hosting two household hazardous waste days in 2022:

1. Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 8am - 1pm at 140 Valentine Ave

2. Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 8am -1pm at 140 Valentine Ave

Attendees MUST remain in their vehicle, windows closed, waste material in open trunk only for unloading.  Please do not attend if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

County will be taking all precautions reasonable for their staff and contractor to operate these events during COVID-19.  We require resident's adherence to the protocols in place to deliver  this service.  The County retains the right to refuse service if protocols are not being followed.

COMMERCIAL, AGRICULTURAL, INDUSTRIAL WASTES, PCB'S, AMMUNITION OR FLARES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

ONLY CONTAINERS WITH A VOLUME OF 30 LITRES OR LESS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Waste must be received in containers that can be disposed of, containers are not emptied and returned (ie. gas cans). Empty metal paint cans are blue box recyclable.
